The Price for Complacency

In the board meeting on September 29, 2005 it was announced by Mirror Lake’s “board of three” that our monthly maintenance fees will increase by $50 as of January 1, 2006. Against the will of the residents present, President Homer Campbell dictatorially dismissed all proposed cost-cutting measures. More disturbingly, this increase will not even cover the payroll raises to those responsible for destroying the efforts of former board members to reduce administrative overhead. The reduction of the board from five members to three was again not on the agenda.
