Election Results

The organizational meeting of the newly appointed board took place on November 21, 2005. About 31 residents were present and witnessed a “two for and two against” stalemate on all primary board positions, except for Treasurer, where Julie Courson achieved a majority vote.

John Hagerty, president of Harmony Management assisted the new board in running the meeting. Carol Atsave was adamant in trying to force a vote of “Harmony” as Mirror Lake’s Management Company ignoring all requests by the property owners to form a committee to decide upon this significant decision. Cathy Noess reiterated that it was essential to receive three valid comparison bids. Ted Volcheck sided with Carol Atsave, while Julie Courson supported Cathy Noess and the condo owners present.

The inclusion of two new board applicants, Dianne Lamb-Elliott and Marie Westmiller, would not have changed this deadlock on either issue. Before a vote could be conducted to select one applicant, in order to achieve an odd-numbered board, Marie Westmiller withdrew and Dianne Lamb-Elliott was elected to the board.

The newly appointed board of five nominees returned to vote on the remaining board positions.

Dianne Lamb-Elliott accepted nomination as President supported by votes from Cathy Noess and Julie Courson.

Cathy Noess accepted nomination as Vice President supported by votes from Dianne Lamb-Elliott and Julie Courson.

Carol Atsave accepted nomination as Secretary supported by votes from everybody.

Ted Volcheck was appointed Member-at-Large.

John Hagerty withdrew his offer on behalf of “Harmony”, suggesting waiting for a decision by the newly elected board as to the direction it wants to take. This prompted the formation of two committees, one to study the “condo management issue” and one to assist the board in formulating a new budget.
